Perfect but for the ads
This app has everything you want. Largest range of fixtures across the world that i’ve seen. Line ups, match stats, team news. Previous results and upcoming fixtures. Quick updates when goals go in and who’s scored them. The only thing i could wish for is a ‘premium’ version that is ad free. It’s annoying going onto the app and having an obnoxiously loud ad play in public and having to wait 5 seconds to close the ad. Of course you can change phone volume but that’s just an inconvenience to have to do. I’d happily pay a £10 one off fee for an ad free experience because this app is great!
More football than any other, but too ad heavy
I’ve been looking everywhere for apps that show teams and scores below the National League North and South, so I can follow the teams around my area, this is it, not only that but this is also the first app I’ve found that allows me to view all the Japanese Competitions as I follow some teams there, while some apps just show the J1 and J2 teams, this app goes even further with the J3 and the JFL, plus cups, women’s football too.
My only complaint and it is minor, is the ads, I would gladly pay for an ad free version
It used to be 5-star ....now killed by the ads
This used to be a wonderful app.
Great info, well organized, comprehensive.
But this year every update has made it worse, until finally I gave up on it altogether.
The problem is the ads:
originally, just an ad when you open the app. Click the X and it goes away.
Now
1) Some apps have sound.
That’s utterly unforgivable. Suddenly my phone is blasting out noise, annoying people around me, or making everyone in the office think I’m playing a computer game, great, thanks Goal.
2) Some apps have a timer that shows you that you have to wait 15 or 30 seconds before you can close it.
3) Some apps, the X doesn’t work properly and I end up having to restart the app because the ad won’t go away.
Oh yeah, and also
4) This isn’t when you **open** the app, it’s every time you **switch** to it. If you flipped out to answer a text message, when you flip back to Goal Live you’ll need to wait for another ad to finish
